An Autumn Afternoon Downtown: Pinkitzel

After an awesome lunch at El Guapo’s Cantina in Tulsa’s Blue Dome District, my daughter and I went to get a sweet treat at Pinkitzel.

Let me just say that this is the most adorable little sweet shop!  It’s bright and everything is super cute and delicious looking, making it hard to choose between all of the desserts!

The last time we went we had macarons, and they were so incredible that we decided that we had to go for the macarons again and try some different flavored ones this time.  This past summer, they had this amazing Earl Grey macaron, which captured the dark tea flavor perfectly and balanced it with just the right amount of sweetness.  I was hoping to have one this time too, but they changed up the flavors, adding some seasonal ones like pumpkin, so I was forced to try some new ones, although I was not disappointed.

I wound up getting a raspberry, an orange blossom, and a rose lychee macaroon.  Oh my goodness they were all heavenly!  If you haven’t had a floral macaron before, or a floral flavored food before, I would highly recommend stopping by Pinkitzel to try at least one of their floral macaroons.  The complexity of delicate rose, tropical lychee, and sweetness was a-ma-zing!

This is definitely a favorite sweet stop of mine and my daughter’s, and I’d definitely recommend swinging by this adorable little shop on 201 S. Denver Ave. if you get the chance!
