If you’re looking for some tropical food to match our recent weather, visit Tulsa’s Lanna Thai, where you’ll find a delightful array of flavorful Thai food.
The restaurant is located in the building that used to house Tulsa Brewing Company, and is now furnished with upscale, roomy seating and is low lit, creating a cozy atmosphere.
I started with their Thai Iced Coffee, because it is the best that I’ve found in Tulsa with its rich, dark brew topped with the perfect amount of sweet cream.
Their Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup) is a bouquet of fragrant flavors, including a twist of lime, generous amounts of fresh cilantro, green onions, lemongrass, thick coconut milk, juicy chicken, and spices. This soup definitely transported me to a tropical paradise!
I had the Lahb beef salad, with ground beef, which was a bit different from Lahb salads that I had before, but delicious nonetheless, seasoned with green onions, cilantro, spices, and lettuce leaves sizable enough to make your own Lahb wraps if you so desire. Once again, the flavor combination was rich and incredible, and their “parched rice” that comes with this and many other dishes is always nice and sticky.
My daughter got their On-Shore Sen-Lek Tom Yum, which is similar to Pad Thai having noodles, bean sprouts, crushed roasted peanuts, crispy wontons, green onions, and cilantro.
You can tell that their entrees are served with love, full of flavor and pleasing to the eye as well as the palate.
